Privacy Policy
Effective April 17, 2026
Maximize Athletic Performance ("MAP," "we," "us," or "our") operates maximizeathleticperformance.com and the MAP mobile apps on iOS and Android (together, the "Services"). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it, how we use and share it, and the choices you have.
If you do not agree with this Privacy Policy, please do not use the Services.
1. Information We Collect
We collect information in the following ways:
a. Information you submit through forms
When you submit an intake, inquiry, application, or waitlist form on our site, we collect the information you provide, which may include:
- Athlete onboarding: name, email, phone number, athlete age, sport, training goals, and any notes you choose to share.
- MAP Academy inquiries: parent and athlete name, email, phone, grade level, sport, and message.
- Careers and internships: name, email, phone, role of interest, qualifications, cover message, and a PDF resume (up to 5MB).
- Gym membership interest, online training, recovery, facility rental, travel team waitlist, and foundation volunteer signups: the fields relevant to each request (typically name, email, phone, and short free-text fields; the travel team waitlist collects email only).
b. Information collected automatically
- Usage data via Vercel Analytics: aggregated, privacy-friendly page-view and performance metrics. Vercel Analytics does not use third-party cookies and does not track individuals across sites.
- IP address for rate-limiting: we temporarily process the IP address of form submissions to prevent abuse (rate-limited to three submissions per minute).
- Device and connection data such as browser type, operating system, referring URL, and timestamps, logged by our hosting provider.
c. Information from our mobile apps
Our iOS and Android apps may collect additional data as disclosed in their App Store and Google Play data-safety listings. Payments for in-app purchases are processed by Apple and Google; we do not receive your full payment card information.
2. How We Use Your Information
- Respond to inquiries, applications, and waitlist or membership requests.
- Schedule consultations, assessments, tours, and training sessions.
- Process employment and volunteer applications.
- Send service-related emails (confirmations, follow-ups, administrative notices).
- Operate, secure, and improve the Services, including preventing fraud and abuse.
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service.
We do not sell your personal information and we do not use it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
3. How We Share Your Information
We share information only with service providers who help us operate the Services:
- Resend — transactional email delivery for intake and inquiry notifications.
- Google (Workspace / Google Sheets) — we log form submissions to a private Google Sheet that is accessible only to authorized MAP staff.
- Vercel — website hosting and privacy-friendly analytics.
- Calendly — consultation and tour scheduling (when you click a booking link, Calendly's Privacy Notice applies).
- Exercise.com — MAP Academy enrollment and payments (their privacy policy applies to transactions on their platform).
- Apple App Store / Google Play — for in-app purchases and app distribution.
We may also share information when required by law, to protect the safety of people or property, or in connection with a business transfer (such as a merger or sale).
4. Cookies and Similar Technologies
We use only the cookies and storage that are strictly necessary to operate the site and the privacy-friendly first-party beacons used by Vercel Analytics. We do not use third-party advertising or marketing cookies.
You can block or delete cookies through your browser settings. Doing so may affect how parts of the site function.
5. Children's Privacy
MAP trains athletes of all ages, including minors. Where a prospective client is under 18, a parent or legal guardian must submit the intake form on the child's behalf. For athletes under 13, we collect only the information needed to respond to the parent's inquiry and schedule services, in accordance with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA). Parents may review, request deletion of, or refuse further collection of their child's information by emailing maximizeapconnect@gmail.com.
6. Data Retention
We retain intake, inquiry, and application information for as long as the relationship with you is active and for a reasonable period afterward to meet legal, accounting, and operational needs. Application materials from unsuccessful candidates are retained for up to two years and then deleted. You may request earlier deletion at any time (see Section 8).
7. Security
We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your information, including input sanitization and rate limiting on all form endpoints, transport encryption (HTTPS), and access controls on our email, sheet, and hosting accounts. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Your Rights and Choices
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information we hold about you by emailing maximizeapconnect@gmail.com. We will respond within a reasonable time and consistent with applicable law.
California residents (CCPA/CPRA)
If you are a California resident, you have the right to know what personal information we collect, how we use it, and with whom we share it; to request deletion or correction; and to be free from discrimination for exercising these rights. We do not sell personal information and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, so there is nothing to opt out of for those purposes.
Visitors from the EU/UK
MAP operates from the United States. If you access the Services from the EU or UK, you may have additional rights under the GDPR or UK GDPR, including the right to object to processing and to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority. Contact us at the address above to exercise those rights.
9. Third-Party Links
The Services may link to third-party websites, including social media platforms, booking tools, and our Academy payment partner. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites. Please review their privacy policies before providing any information.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Effective" date above. Material changes will be posted on this page and, where appropriate, communicated by email.
